We are now looking for a Managing Director who can create clarity, engagement, and a common direction – and together with the board and owner banks, develop a business that strengthens future savings banks.

Leadership that creates direction

Here you will have the opportunity to lead and further develop a business built on trust, specialist competence, and close collaboration with twelve independent savings banks. You will have significant influence over how our services are developed, how the business is organized, and how we together create the greatest possible value for our owners.

You report directly to the board and work in close dialogue with both the board, the banks' CEOs, and other key persons.

At the same time, you lead a team of nine experienced specialists with deep competence in risk, compliance, and regulatory matters. The employees work independently, are located in several places in West Sweden, and work largely remotely. This places high demands on leadership that creates presence even when you do not share the daily routine.

Your most important task will be to create clarity, common ways of working, and strong engagement. Through continuous follow-up, feedback, and present leadership, you build a culture where collaboration, quality, and continuous improvements are a natural part of the work.

Your assignment

As Managing Director, you have overall responsibility for Västsupport's operations. You translate the board's strategy into practical implementation, lead the business towards set goals, and ensure that our owner banks receive a delivery characterized by quality, professionalism, and high integrity.

You are responsible for the business plan, budget, and economy, develop processes and ways of working, and ensure that the company has an efficient organization that meets future requirements.

You also represent Västsupport in dialogue with owner banks, partners, and other stakeholders, and actively contribute to the company's continued development.

We believe that you...

...have a solid background from the banking or financial sector and a good understanding of the regulatory environment in which financial businesses operate.

You have experience leading qualified businesses where governance, quality, and long-term perspective are central. Perhaps you currently work within risk, compliance, internal governance, internal audit, or another business with high demands on integrity and business acumen. A Swedsec license for management and control functions is a requirement. If you do not yet hold the license, you must be prepared to certify yourself upon commencement.

You are accustomed to working closely with management teams and boards and feel confident in creating structure, making decisions, and driving change. You have experience leading qualified specialists, preferably in a geographically dispersed organization, and know how to create engagement, responsibility, and collaboration even when the daily routine is not characterized by shared office environments.
