Are you a confident and engaged leader who is passionate about developing people and achieving results through close leadership? We are now looking for an interim department manager for a socially important operation in Skövde.

In this role, you lead a team of approximately 14 employees and are responsible for creating structure, clarity, and good conditions for both staff and operations. You combine an accessible leadership style with responsibility for delivery, quality, goal achievement, and operational development in an environment with many contact points.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Several years of experience working as a first-line manager
  • Experience leading in operational environments with many contact points
  • Thrives in a role where you are close to employees, delivery, and partners
  • Confidence in making decisions and driving progress even in complex situations
  • Clarity and sensitivity as a communicator, with the ability to adapt your leadership style to the situation

Meritorious experience includes:

  • More than 3 years of experience as a first-line manager
  • Experience with change management
  • Public transport or other socially funded operations
  • Work in a politically governed organization
  • Tendering, contracts, and vendor management

About the assignment

  • Full-time
  • Location: Skövde (3–4 days per week on-site)
  • Start: Immediately or by agreement
  • Duration: From 2026-09-01 until May 2027
