Do you want to help shape the future of Lysekil? Lysekil Municipality is now seeking a Division Manager for Business and Communications who wants to lead the work of strengthening the municipality's attractiveness, creating good conditions for business, and building strong relationships with residents, companies, and visitors. About the Role

As Division Manager for Business and Communications, you will have a central role in the municipality's development and a unique opportunity to influence how Lysekil grows, develops, and is perceived by residents, companies, visitors, and other stakeholders. You will lead a division responsible for business development, communications, and the contact center, three areas that together are crucial for creating an attractive municipality with good service, a strong business climate, and high trust in municipal operations.

In this role, you have overall responsibility for operations, economy, working environment, and employees. You drive the division's development in close collaboration with the Municipal Director, municipal leadership, political representatives, other managers, and external actors. As part of the municipality's leadership, you are expected to contribute a strategic holistic perspective and be a driving force in the municipality's long-term development work.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work on issues of great significance for the municipality's future. You will become part of the Municipal Executive Board Administration and play a central role in the work to develop Lysekil as an attractive place to live, work, visit, and invest in.

The role includes:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing the division's employees and operations towards set goals
  • Having overall responsibility for operations, budget, follow-up, and results
  • Initiating and driving strategic development and change processes that contribute to the municipality's long-term development
  • Strengthening and developing the municipality's collaboration with the business community to promote growth, establishment, and a good business climate
  • Developing and coordinating the municipality's internal and external communications
  • Representing Lysekil Municipality in networks, projects, and collaboration forums
  • Actively contributing to the municipality's management groups and strategic development work
  • Providing qualified support to municipal leadership and political representatives within the area of responsibility

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a secure, engaging, and development-oriented leader with the ability to create trust, build strong relationships, and turn visions into concrete results. You have a strategic perspective and good collaboration skills. You thrive in a politically governed organization and have a genuine interest in societal development and public service. We are looking for you with:

  • An academic education in communications, social sciences, marketing, or another area that the employer deems equivalent
  • Documented experience of management and leadership with responsibility for operations, personnel, and budget
  • Experience in strategic development work and change management
  • Experience working in one or more of the areas: business development, communications, citizen services, or digital development
  • Good understanding of governance, management, and operational follow-up
  • Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have experience working in a politically governed organization, preferably municipal operations.

You are proactive, self-initiating, and have a clear focus on results while enabling people around you to grow and contribute. Through trust-based and clear leadership, you create engagement, participation, and good conditions for collaboration. You build strong relationships and collaborate successfully with both internal and external actors. We also see that you are creative and development-oriented, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and turn ideas into concrete results. With good judgment and a positive attitude, you drive the work and contribute to Lysekil Municipality's long-term development.
