The Division for Common Insurance Matters administers the income basis for sickness benefit and qualification for social security. The Legal Support Business Area is responsible for the division's reconsideration activities, court litigation, and case-handling-related legal support. The business area consists of two units and approximately 50 employees. In the leadership group of the business area, we have close and supportive cooperation. To the unit for case-handling-related legal support and court litigation, we are now seeking a Unit Manager.

Close leadership, change, sustainable workplace

As a Unit Manager here, you collaborate closely with your immediate supervisor, colleagues in the leadership group, your employees, and the operations. You need to have integrity, the ability to think innovatively, and the courage to increase the legal quality of the division together with your employees.

As a manager within the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you work according to the agency's mandate from the government. You are responsible for ensuring that the unit's operations are legally secure and efficient, as well as characterized by good service. You lead and steer based on trust, respect, and consideration, with a holistic view of the operations. Through dialogue about the purpose, goals, and strategies of the operations, you create conditions for your employees to be able and willing to take significant responsibility for the team's results and their own development. The role of Unit Manager includes personnel responsibility as well as result and follow-up responsibility for the unit. Your commitment to leadership is high, and the public sector's values permeate your work. By balancing both short-term and long-term demands on results and sustainable operations, you offer your employees a health-promoting work environment. You have a good ability to adapt your leadership style based on what the situation and assignment require. In your role, you will, among other things, work closely with lawyers, which requires a very good ability to analyze and structure complex problems as well as to identify and clearly communicate solutions. A focus of the assignment is also to utilize the business area's combined competence to improve the division's legal quality.

You have a genuine interest in sharing your knowledge and actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. As a skilled communicator, both at the individual and group level, you represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in both internal and external collaborations and contribute to strengthening our relationships and our mandate.

One position, permanent, full-time, with an start date of November 16, 2026. Probationary period may apply. Some positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive operations. To be employed in such a position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) is required. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks are conducted in this recruitment. Remote work is possible if the work allows. In this recruitment, psychometric tests may be used as part of the selection process. Locations: Gothenburg or Malmö.
