About the role
We are currently looking for an interim Daily Operations Manager for an innovative and research-oriented organization experiencing strong growth. In this role, you will serve as a central link between the organization's employees (some of whom are located at university departments), the management team, and other key stakeholders. The assignment combines operational HR and work environment responsibilities with a strategic and business-focused approach to the long-term development of the university's lab portfolio.
Main responsibilities
HR and Work Environment Responsibility
- Responsible for staff, work environment, operations, and development of the institute's lab activities, including HR-related matters, capacity planning, onboarding, and ensuring efficient routines and processes.
Process Development and Efficiency
- Develop and streamline the organization's processes, working methods, and system support to create a structured, scalable, and well-functioning operational business.
Procurement
- Draft and implement routines and processes for procurement in accordance with the Public Procurement Act.
Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring close dialogue between the organization, the university, and the employees.
Strategic Contribution and Management Group Work
- Contribute to the management group with an operational and business perspective, and be responsible for driving and developing the operational activities in close collaboration with the CEO.
Assignment period and scope
The Daily Operations Manager position is a full-time consulting assignment starting on 2026-09-07 and is expected to run until 2027-08-31, with good opportunities for extension.
Requirements for the role:
- Documented experience in personnel management, e.g., as a line manager, including work environment and labor law.
- Experience from industry/private sector and habit of working in a business-minded manner.
- Experience from grant-funded activities, e.g., Vinnova or EU projects.
- Very good ability to work in environments with high change rates, preferably in growth companies.
- Experience in building up and structuring processes and working methods.
- Very good proficiency in Swedish and English.

Merits for the role:
- Experience working closely with academia, research environments, or technical/lab environments.
- Previous role as Operations Manager, Site Manager, or similar.
- Experience handling issues related to work permits and international recruitment.
- Experience working in a role that combines operational personnel responsibility with strategic discussions regarding organizational or business development.
- Experience handling strictly confidential operations.
