At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the great societal challenges of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 employees in total, and we have an unusually important job!

Do you want to work at the center of events and contribute to socially vital operations?

The South Region of the Swedish Migration Agency is looking for two Administrative Experts for the Citizenship Assessment Section and the Work Permit Assessment Section in Norrköping.

This is the role for you if you want to work in the borderland between strategy, development, and analysis. A task that requires both sharpness and creativity, where you get to use both parts every day. With us, you land right in the middle of an operation where the outside world never stands still. Here you get a unique chance to work close to current societal issues, issues that are influenced by our surroundings and require both a holistic perspective and genuine social engagement.

You will become the hub that holds the section's operations together and will, among other things, participate in the national operational management forum. With approximately 15% of your time, you will work within the region's secretariat, which serves as the entry point for both internal and external parties.

What does an Administrative Expert do?

As an Administrative Expert, you have a central role in the operations. You keep processes together, analyze, create, and compile materials, and contribute to moving the work forward. The role involves close collaboration with management, colleagues, and external actors, where you function as a qualified support in both strategic and operational matters. Here you get to work in a varied daily life with great personal responsibility, many contact surfaces, complex issues, and continuous learning. You will, among other things:

  • create decision support materials, analyses, and reports
  • coordinate important issues and working groups
  • write consultation responses, statements, and action plans
  • develop presentation materials for management and employees
  • contribute to developing and improving our working methods and processes
  • be a secure and knowledgeable contact point internally and externally

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are proactive and actively contribute to moving the work forward, both independently and in collaboration with others. You have good cooperation skills and thrive in a role where you build trusting relationships with both colleagues and external actors. Furthermore, you have the ability to see the big picture and take the larger perspective into account, which enables you to grasp complex issues and see how different parts fit together. You work in a structured manner and prioritize your work effectively, which allows you to handle several parallel tasks while ensuring quality in deliverables. Your problem-solving and analytical skills enable you to quickly grasp new issues, draw well-founded conclusions, and produce well-crafted materials that support both operational and strategic decisions.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.

You who apply have:

  • an academic education of at least 120 credits or other education combined with current and relevant experience for the position
  • experience in analysis, development, or follow-up work
  • very good communication skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you have:

  • experience supporting managers or management groups
  • experience from working within the public sector
  • experience with the Swedish Migration Agency's mission and operations
