Experienced Developer – Build Robust Systems for Sweden's Infrastructure

At Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration), we develop societal-critical technology that handles real-time data, integrates complex systems, and ensures the operation of Sweden's transport infrastructure.

We are now looking for experienced system developers who want to lead technical development, take responsibility for architectural decisions, and scale solutions with national impact. This is an exciting assignment where you work closely with advanced integrations alongside a team that values technical depth, autonomy, and quality in every decision.

About the Role

As an experienced system developer with us, you lead technical development throughout the entire chain, from requirements analysis and architectural design to implementation and scalable operations. You will play a key role in shaping our solutions and ensuring they are robust, scalable, and capable of handling high loads.

In this role, you will, among other things:

• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Design and implement new features
• Develop and enhance backend and frontend systems
• Work with system integrations across different security domains
• Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making
• Develop systems that handle large volumes of data and high availability requirements
• Participate in on-call duties according to a rotating schedule

Qualifications

We are looking for you who thrive in an environment where system development, analysis, and collaboration go hand in hand. You work in a structured manner and have an aptitude for getting to grips with complex technical problems, analyzing requirements, and seeing connections in larger systems. You contribute to stable and long-term solutions through a methodical approach and the ability to make well-balanced decisions within your area of responsibility. You are curious and keep up to date in your field, which allows you to continuously develop in the role. You take initiative and are capable of working both independently and in a team.

We are looking for you who:

• Have several years of current professional experience as a system developer
• Have experience with system integrations
• Have experience developing in C#/.Net
• Hold a university or college degree of 180hp (120p) with a focus on IT, or alternatively other education combined with professional experience relevant to the position that we assess as equivalent
• Have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have good proficiency in English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience building scalable systems
• Have experience in one or more of the areas listed below
