The Swedish Armed Forces is now seeking an IT Technician based in Muskö.
About the Position
As an IT Technician within the Swedish Armed Forces and FMTIS, you will be a vital part of a successful team in an agency experiencing strong growth. The work is varied and is primarily performed at the Swedish Armed Forces' premises in Muskö and partly in other locations in Haninge, though other parts of the country may also be involved.
Main Responsibilities
The work consists of independently or in teams providing support, performing installations, configuration, and proactive fault-preventive maintenance. You will work with user support for computers and systems in both open and classified IT environments. There will also be some handling of network components. The work is largely case-driven and involves significant contact with users.
Qualifications
- Education focused on IT/data at a minimum of upper secondary level or equivalent knowledge assessed by the employer as comparable.
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience within IT systems, IT equipment, or IT communications.
- Good computer skills in both hardware and software for clients in a Windows environment.
- Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Very good knowledge of English.
- The position requires good physical fitness.
- Category B driver's license.

Merits
- Experience with fiber-based command and control systems.
- Experience with ITIL process work.
- Experience with IT security work, e.g., information security.
- Experience working in IT projects.
- IT certifications from e.g., Microsoft or Cisco.
- Knowledge of cabling/termination and documentation of telecommunication technical installations.
- Familiarity with the Swedish Armed Forces' materiel.
