We are now looking for an experienced Document Control Lead for an exciting and complex project within the energy and industrial sectors. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the project's document control and technical documentation throughout the entire document lifecycle – from creation and review to approval, version control, and final document handover.
This assignment is for you who have solid experience in document control within large-scale industrial, energy, or plant projects and who thrive in a coordinating and quality-focused role.
About the assignment
As Document Control Lead, you are responsible for leading and developing the project's document management, ensuring that technical documentation maintains high quality, is traceable, and meets the project's requirements.
You will work closely with project management, technical functions, the project's various work packages, as well as suppliers and other project stakeholders.
Assignment period: August 24, 2026 – August 23, 2027
Your main responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the creation, review, and approval of technical documentation
Ensure quality, completeness, traceability, and compliance with technical and regulatory requirements
Coordinate document deliveries with suppliers, engineering organizations, and contractors
Develop, implement, and maintain procedures and processes for document control
Responsible for version control, archiving, and structured documentation
Monitor document status, revisions, approvals, and distribution
Responsible for document databases, registers, and logs
Integrate document management into the project's workflows
Provide support and guidance to the project organization regarding document management and working methods
Serve as the project's main contact person for document control matters
You will also participate in cross-functional project meetings and collaborate with the project's various functions and work packages.
We are looking for someone who has
At least 7 years of experience in document control and technical document management in large-scale industrial, energy, or plant projects
Documented experience of final document handover in at least one complex, large-scale project
Very good knowledge of technical documentation processes, document control, and version control
Experience with EDMS and/or CDE systems, such as Aconex or equivalent systems
Good understanding of document lifecycles, technical documentation standards, and regulatory requirements
Experience with digital document management and modern digital archiving solutions
Relevant university or university college education in areas such as technical documentation, industrial engineering, construction technology, or equivalent
Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Merits
Experience with Digital Twin-based document handovers
Experience from international EPC projects
Knowledge of Italian, French, or other languages
