Are you an ambitious, engaged, and positive medical office assistant? If so, we welcome your application! We offer a varied administrative role where attention to detail, service orientation, and a sense of responsibility are natural parts of the job. The administration team consists of nineteen medical office assistants. Our mission is to serve the various medical units of the Neuro Center with patient administration. We are passionate about diagnosis and procedure coding, where we support each other and other professions. We are facing developments and changes in job tasks, which means that the duties for medical office assistants will change already in the spring. Some of the medical office assistants will join different teams/disease groups, where the work will initially focus on quality registers, waiting lists, and meeting minutes. Later, calling duties and potentially more tasks will be added.
The Neuro Center started on April 1, 2025, and includes the specialties of neurology, neurophysiology, neurosurgery, and rehabilitation medicine. The Neuro Center includes inpatient wards, NIMA, outpatient clinics, day care, and administration. We are divided into the different specialties, except for the administration, which works across all four specialties.
Job DescriptionThe position includes standard duties for a medical office assistant, such as medical documentation, diagnosis classification, handling referrals, mail handling, cash register staffing, and other common administrative tasks. You will have the opportunity to work from home one day a week as soon as you are self-sufficient.
QualificationsYou have completed and passed education as a medical office assistant or equivalent. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well in speech and writing. We value traits such as cheerfulness, positivity, good teamwork skills, flexibility, and a desire to contribute to the development and change work of the operations. If you have experience working with quality registers, waiting lists, or calling duties, we see this as a plus, but it is not a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and are looking for someone who is ambitious, engaged, flexible, and has initiative and responsibility. A high service level and friendly treatment of patients, relatives, and staff is a matter of course in our group.
ApplicationThe application should include a CV and a cover letter. Certificates, grades, diplomas, etc., should be provided at a potential interview.
If you are or have previously been employed by Region Örebro County, we will take internal references from your current or former manager, should you become a candidate for employment.
