About Us

Habiliteringscenter Sollentuna Barn is a specialist outpatient clinic belonging to the Habilitation & Health operations. We provide interventions for children aged 0–17 with permanent disabilities, such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, or motor impairment. The operations are conducted in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Disabilities (LSS), serving as a complement to other healthcare services.

Work is carried out in interdisciplinary teams consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, counselors, speech therapists, psychologists, and special educators. Six physiotherapists work at the clinic. Our catchment area is northwestern Stockholm County, including the municipalities of Järfälla, Solna, Sollentuna, Upplands-Väsby, Sigtuna, and Upplands-Bro. Our clinic is located in pleasant premises in central Sollentuna, close to commuter trains, buses, restaurants, and shops, approximately a 15-minute commute from the city center.

About the Role

As a physiotherapist within the habilitation services, you will have an independent, varied, and highly stimulating job. You will work with patients across a wide range of diagnoses and disabilities. The role includes treatment, both individual and group-based, motor assessments, mapping, and prescribing and follow-up of mobility and orthopedic technical aids. It also involves consultation and knowledge transfer to relatives and staff in the patient's immediate environment, such as preschools and schools.

Our patients often have complex needs requiring collaboration, not only within the team but also with neighboring care providers, municipal operations, and other authorities.

Work takes place both at the clinic and in the child's immediate environment. The position therefore involves travel within our catchment municipalities.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and have an interest in working with children with various disabilities and their networks. Experience in habilitation or other work with people in our target group is meritorious. You have good ability to work independently as well as collaborate within the interdisciplinary team. You are a good planner and are structured in your work.

We would prefer that you have a driver's license.

The position is filled subject to it not being needed for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):

• A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
• Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, conducted through occupational health services before employment.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional licensure. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
