About the role

The Children's Emergency Department at Huddinge is part of Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital and receives approximately 20,000 children and adolescents aged 0 to 18 each year. Here, we primarily treat children with acute medical conditions such as infections, respiratory problems, and other urgent illnesses. The department has a special infection mandate and works in close collaboration with the Pediatric Emergency Care Ward (BAVA).

In 2026, the department moved into completely newly renovated premises designed in close collaboration with staff to create a modern working environment with efficient patient flows, increased patient safety, and excellent conditions for teamwork.

As a nurse, you will work alongside other nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors in a multiprofessional team where the child's and family's needs are always at the center. The work is varied and fast-paced, involving interactions with patients and relatives in many different situations.

We are primarily seeking nurses for permanent full-time positions. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends. Temporary assignments may also be available.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Swedish nursing license
• Experience working in emergency care and/or pediatric care

Merits:

• Specialist education in pediatric care or emergency care
