Begravningsbyråernas Transport i Stockholm (BBT) is now looking for pallbearers for assignments within the Stockholm area. The assignments are carried out at various locations in the region, from Nynäshamn in the south to Vallentuna in the north.

We are looking for you who want a meaningful and flexible assignment where responsibility, care, and professionalism are at the center. As a pallbearer, you are an important part of the funeral ceremony and contribute together with colleagues to create a safe and dignified farewell for relatives and loved ones.

The work involves carrying the coffin during ceremonies and contributing to ensuring that each assignment is carried out calmly and with care. The role requires respectful treatment, responsibility, and the ability to be confident in situations where people are in mourning.

BBT is an established company in the funeral industry that has offered transport and ceremony services to funeral homes since 1990. We work with coffin transport, pallbearing, ceremony hosts, and officiants and are today an important partner for funeral homes in Stockholm and surrounding areas.

To ensure high availability, we have coffin storage in both Stockholm and Uppsala. We are also proud of our collaborations with well-respected coffin manufacturers such as Fredahl Rydéns and Nilssons Trämanufaktur.

As a pallbearer, you work at funeral ceremonies around the Stockholm area. You are part of a team responsible for carrying coffins in and out during ceremonies and assisting with lowering the coffin during burial.

The role means being an important part of the ceremony's execution while the focus is always on the farewell and the relatives. As a pallbearer, you contribute with calm, structure, and professionalism without drawing attention away from the ceremony itself.

The work is done in close collaboration with colleagues and follows clear routines and ceremonial moments. You will receive introduction and training from us before you start working, and work clothes are provided by BBT.

• Carry coffins in and out during funeral ceremonies
• Assist with burials and lowering of the coffin
• Represent BBT in a professional and respectful manner
• Collaborate with other bearers and ceremony staff
• Follow given routines and instructions for each assignment

• Speak Swedish fluently
• Have a calm, composed, and respectful attitude
• Are punctual and take responsibility for your commitments
• Have good teamwork skills
• Enjoy meeting people in sensitive and significant situations
• Have the physical ability to perform the work according to current occupational health and safety requirements

A driver's license and access to a personal car are meritorious as assignments take place at various locations within the Stockholm area. Travel compensation is paid according to our terms.

We place greater emphasis on personality than previous experience.

• Employment type: Assignment-based employment
• Working hours: Primarily weekdays during daytime between approx. 09:00–16:00. Occasional assignments on weekends may occur, for which extra compensation is paid.
