Skurup Municipality is Hiring a Social Welfare Case Worker
Skurup Municipality has just over 17,000 inhabitants and is located in a beautiful natural setting on the southern coast of Scania, with excellent transport links to Malmö, Ystad, Lund, and Copenhagen. In our municipality, residents enjoy a peaceful life with the city close by. The local business community is thriving, and immigration to the municipality is increasing.
1,200 employees keep the wheels turning every day, fully committed to the well-being of the citizens. With us, you will help build an attractive municipality where dialogue, openness, and good treatment permeate the organization. We are proud of our short decision-making paths. Together, we make a difference!
Skurup's Vision 2045: With heart and commitment to quality of life, security, and development, we create the place where we live, work, and grow – together. Skurup Municipality is the place for the good life.
What do we offer you?
Within the Individual and Family Care unit, you will become part of a cheerful and developing operation that values a good work environment and a positive work climate. You will receive active leadership and fantastic collegial supervision to support you in your work. We are a modern operation working with continuous development to meet our municipal residents in the best possible way. We are located in fresh and bright premises with walking distance to the train station, offering good transport links both to eastern and western Scania. If this sounds like something you like and you have what we are looking for as described below, we hope you will apply for the position.
1 position(s).
Job Responsibilities
The main job responsibilities involve authority exercises according to the Social Services Act (SoL). You will investigate and assess the user's needs, make decisions, and follow up on granted measures. We work with an IBIC approach in the investigation work to better map needs and plan measures. We value collaboration around the user and have developed cross-professional teams that meet regularly.
In the social welfare case worker group, there are four positions that serve both the authority exercises and the SVO process (Collaboration at Discharge). The municipality is divided into different geographical areas where three case workers are responsible for these, and one case worker is responsible for the SVO process. The hourly employment will cover service leaves in the existing work group; work schedule and tasks will be planned upon agreement at the start of employment.
Qualifications
You who apply must be a social worker or have at least started a social work education and studied social law. Experience as a social welfare case worker from before is meritorious, as is experience with IBIC. You need to have good knowledge of current legislation in the area, and it is important that you feel comfortable meeting people with dignity and providing good quality despite a high pace with high demands on documentation and legal certainty.
We are looking for you who are responsible, flexible, and open. You have good cooperation skills and care about creating good relationships. You focus on treating every individual with dignity and respect, starting from strengthening their own ability. You have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and are interested in actively developing the operation. We place great emphasis on personal maturity and suitability.
You work independently with high structure and can handle many parallel processes that are in different phases. You are good at keeping calm even in pressured situations and have a well-developed ability to communicate directly and clearly while working to strengthen the individual's own ability.
- Salary form: Monthly salary.
