About the role and your responsibilities

The Cognitive Team works across departments to develop and improve dementia care in the Municipality of Lund. We are now looking for an additional certified Sylvia Nurse or Specialist Enrolled Nurse in Dementia to join the Cognitive Team.

You will work in a cross-departmental team, meaning the work targets both older and younger adults, individuals within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and both ordinary and special housing. The team consists, besides you, of two dementia nurses and three Sylvia Nurses/Specialist Enrolled Nurses in Dementia.

The work is independent but never solitary, as there is daily coordination with the team. The tasks primarily consist of case management to support staff in finding measures and approaches where it may be challenging. It also includes conducting training, supervision, and counseling for both staff, relatives, or the person with a cognitive impairment. Other tasks include support for relatives and collaboration with internal and external actors. We are also constantly engaged in improvement and development work to enhance dementia care in the Municipality of Lund.

We are looking for you who

are a certified Sylvia Nurse or a Specialist Enrolled Nurse in Dementia. It is meritorious if you are a certified trainer within the BPSD register, have 60 university credits in nursing (not university college), and have work experience from LSS. You are a driving person who is used to prioritizing and structuring your work. You can work both independently and collaborate in a team. You need to be comfortable giving lectures and speaking in front of a larger group. You have a good approach to people and enjoy supervising and educating. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and are computer literate in the Office package. We primarily travel by bicycle, or by car for longer distances. A driver's license for a passenger car is required.

We will work continuously with the recruitment, but may have longer processing times during the summer. As part of the selection process, we use tests, in this case, a work psychological test.
