Do you want to work at the heart of Swedish democracy? We are now looking for an IT Architect who wants to help develop our architecture and ensure that our digital solutions support our operations in the best possible way.

Your responsibilities

As an IT Architect, you will work broadly within the organization, with a unique and exciting assignment. You focus on the systems and platforms in our IT environment and ensure that our platforms and systems are used correctly and developed in the right direction. You set the structure for how solutions are built, further developed, and maintained. In this role, you are also responsible for ensuring that technology choices are well-thought-out, scalable, and long-term sustainable. You work closely with both technology and business operations and contribute actively to strategic decisions. As an IT Architect, you will:

• create conceptual and technical solution proposals in line with our architecture principles
• produce various architecture artifacts such as system relationships and scenario descriptions
• participate in needs and requirement analysis
• drive your work in close collaboration with other IT architects, our lead developers, and business experts
• participate in the work of developing overarching architecture principles
• participate in various architecture forums within the administration.

You will become part of the IT department's development unit, consisting of 50 people who work with agile system development in various roles. We are a small department where everyone helps everyone, and we have an egalitarian approach. We work in an open office landscape in fresh premises in central Stockholm.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• relevant education or equivalent work experience assessed as equivalent
• at least five years of experience in system development
• several years of experience and in-depth technical knowledge in software development, integrations, and IT architecture
• good ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• ability to analyze alternatives and produce decision support
• experience designing IT architecture with a focus on quality attributes such as performance, correctness, scalability, and robustness
• very good understanding of IT security and information security
• experience from designing cloud and hybrid solutions running in Azure or similar environments
• experience from working in similar roles such as solution architect, software architect, or equivalent.

It is meritorious with:

• experience in business modeling (stakeholder models, process models, etc.) and the development of architecture principles and guidelines
• experience from system development in C# and the .NET framework
• certification in IT architecture, e.g., certified IT architect.

As a person, you are structured, self-initiative, and results-oriented with a good ability to collaborate and create trusting relationships. You thrive in an agile environment where you take personal responsibility and work together with others to achieve common goals. With a pragmatic approach, you can balance the business's needs with long-term sustainable solutions. You are receptive and quality- and security-conscious, and you have the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and pedagogical way. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities, especially your ability to create good, effective collaborations and to communicate in speech and writing in Swedish.

The Parliamentary Administration applies a probationary period.

The position is classified for security clearance, which in this case requires Swedish citizenship and a passed security check. We welcome applicants with different experiences and backgrounds.
