Job Responsibilities

As two of our care colleagues have moved on to new challenges, we are looking for two new care colleagues for our nursing home, Skedvigården.

Does your heart beat a little faster for our elderly in society? Do you enjoy adapting support and care based on each care recipient's unique needs, wishes, and conditions? Is it a given for you to provide care recipients with good and safe care? If you answer yes to these questions, you could be one of the assistant nurses we are looking for!

In the role of an assistant nurse, you meet our care recipients' individual physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. You assist with personal hygiene, mobility, meals, dressing and undressing, as well as end-of-life care. You also perform medical tasks delegated by the nurse. The responsibilities mean that you are our "eyes and ears" on site, as you observe small changes in our elderly residents' well-being and report this to relevant colleagues. You document your efforts continuously during your shifts and contribute to raising the quality of the home by reporting deviations related to the care recipient.

In addition to the above responsibilities, you are the contact person for at least one care recipient. This means you take greater personal responsibility for the care recipient's nursing care and work to ensure their needs and wishes are met according to the assistance decision. You work motivationally to increase the care recipient's quality of life and access to daily stimulation, such as activation, daily outdoor time, and social interaction.

All tasks are performed in close collaboration with colleagues, visitors, and above all, with our elderly. Your direct manager is the unit manager.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must have an assistant nurse degree and a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you also have previous practical experience in nursing care and dementia care for the elderly, it is an advantage. You need to be able to handle digital work tools such as computers and mobile phones, as all documentation of your work takes place in these systems. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in the documentation system Combine (Pulsen), the time reporting system Medvind, as well as Teams and Outlook. Your Swedish language skills need to be good to communicate effectively with the surroundings, understand written text, and handle documenting your work.

Working hours vary throughout the day, seven days a week, so a B driver's license and access to a personal car are required.

You need to enjoy working with people and have the ability to create and maintain good relationships. You also need to be skilled at documenting and reporting your work continuously. Delivering results and meeting your care recipients' expectations is a given for you - both regarding quality and productivity. You never compromise on your professionalism and work in a systematic, methodical, and reliable manner. You easily identify our care recipients' needs and achieve good work results. You follow instructions and decisions, while being flexible and open to changed conditions if the situation requires it.

Employment Type

Permanent employment.

Working Hours

Working hours vary throughout all waking hours of the day and are scheduled on weekdays and every other weekend, year-round.
