About the Department
As part of our efforts to strengthen care and optimize resource utilization at Falu Hospital, our ambition is to create a cohesive pre- and post-operative ward. All patients scheduled for surgery at Central Surgery or ENT Surgery will be gathered in one location to ensure high-quality and patient-safe care before and after the operation. The ward will be open Monday to Friday, 07:00–20:00. This includes patients from the Surgical, Orthopedic, and ENT clinics. The pre-operative ward, together with the post-operative ward, will belong to the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (Op/An/ICU) department. The Op/An/ICU department also includes the ICU, Day Surgery, Central Surgery, Anesthesia Clinic, and Sterile Supply Department.

We are now looking for nurses who want to become part of our newly established pre-operative ward.
Here, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for surgery within the surgical, orthopedic, and ENT departments. You will become part of a team where the patient is always at the center, and where we together create a safe, secure, and well-planned care experience prior to surgery.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a few years of experience.
- Some experience with monitoring vital functions.
Merits:
- Experience from pre- or post-operative work.
