About the DepartmentWe are now looking for hourly staff nurses/aides for Ward 95 in Säter, working days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with the possibility of also working on Ward 90.
The General Psychiatry Clinic in Falun & Säter has a county-wide mandate within adult psychiatry, with the main task of caring for and treating patients with acute psychiatric conditions. The clinic's operations are located in both Säter and Falun. In Säter, you will find the county's only psychiatric emergency clinic as well as Wards 90 and 95. In Falun, there is a dependency center, a general psychiatric ward, an eating disorders clinic, and an ECT clinic.
Ward 90 in Säter has 10 care beds and is the county's only psychiatric intensive care unit with high staffing levels around the clock. Here, patients with severe psychiatric symptoms are treated, where there is a risk that the patient may harm themselves or others. Care is often provided under the support of LPT (the Act on Compulsory Psychiatric Care).
Ward 95 in Säter is a general psychiatric ward with 14 care beds for patients with various psychiatric diagnoses in a calmer phase of their treatment. Patients are cared for in accordance with HSL (Health and Medical Services Act) or LPT.
On both wards, doctors, nurses, and aides work together in teams with a person-centered approach. Our safety routines are clear, well-established, and an important part of daily work. As an hourly employee, you will become an important part of the operations and contribute to safe and high-quality care for our patients.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a nurse/aide, you work closely with the patient and contribute to daily care and treatment based on each individual's needs and conditions. Responsibilities include, among other things, nursing care, support conversations, documentation, blood sampling, participation in ward rounds, and involvement in various group activities. Working in the patient kitchen is also part of the job.
The role also involves transporting patients to and from examinations and other healthcare contacts. These are carried out using the organization's leased car and always together with additional healthcare staff to ensure safety and security for both patients and employees.
QualificationsWe are looking for you who are interested in working with care and treatment interventions for patients with severe psychiatric symptoms in the acute phase. You should have good teamwork skills, be flexible and proactive, and wish to work in a team where the patient is an integral member. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- You are a trained nurse or aide who has completed the Care and Nursing Program or the vocational package Care and Nursing at adult education.
- You are currently studying to become an aide within the Care and Nursing Program or the vocational package Care and Nursing at adult education.
- You are currently studying to become a nurse and have completed semester 4.
- A B-driving license is preferred.
