About the Department

As part of our efforts to strengthen care and optimize resource utilization at Falu Lasarett, we aim to create a cohesive pre- and post-operative ward. All patients scheduled for surgery at Central Surgery or ENT Surgery will be gathered in one place to ensure high-quality and patient-safe care before and after the operation. The ward will be open Monday–Friday, 07:00–20:00. This includes patients from the Surgical, Orthopedic, and ENT departments. The pre-operative ward, together with the post-operative ward, will belong to the Op/An/ICU department. The Op/An/ICU department also includes the ICU, Day Surgery, Central Surgery, Anesthesia Clinic, and Sterile Supply Department.

Do you want to be involved from the start and create something new together with engaged colleagues? Are you someone who wants to help design routines, work environment, and working methods to build a ward with high patient safety and a good work environment?

We are now looking for nursing assistants who want to become part of our newly established pre-operative ward.

Here, you will play a key role in preparing patients for surgery within the surgical, orthopedic, and ENT departments. You will become part of a team where the patient is always at the center, and where we together create a safe, secure, and well-planned care experience before surgery.

You will also take turns with other nursing assistants managing the reception desk.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Nursing assistant with a few years of experience.
• Some experience in monitoring vital functions.

Merits:

• Experience from pre- or post-operative work.
