Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) within the Division of Psychiatry and Rehabilitation at Region Dalarna is now seeking a Registered Nurse for the new county-wide initiative Mini-Maria in Falun and Mora. These are accessible clinics for children and young people up to the age of 21 with risky use, harmful use, or substance dependence, with or without comorbid psychiatric conditions. Here, you are offered meaningful work with a clear focus on children and young people, with the opportunity to help build a new operation from the ground up. Mini-Maria operates within the framework of a county-wide collaboration between Region Dalarna and the municipalities of Dalarna, with Falu Municipality and Mora Municipality as host municipalities.
We are currently seeking a nurse for the clinic in Mora, with a satellite clinic in Älvdalen. The operation is planned to start in autumn 2026. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to shape working methods, collaboration, and content together with engaged colleagues from both the municipality and the region. The work is characterized by interprofessional teamwork, trust, and collaboration, with good opportunities for continuous competence development as the operation grows and develops.
Mini-Maria is a low-threshold service offering counseling, support, and treatment to children and young people as well as their relatives. The work is based on individual needs and relies on evidence-based methods and national guidelines. The main clinics in Falun and Mora will have satellite clinics in Avesta and Älvdalen that are staffed regularly. Work takes place in interprofessional teams together with, among others, doctors, psychologists, midwives, and therapists from the municipality.
ResponsibilitiesAs a nurse at Mini-Maria, you will:
- Work with counseling, support, and treatment for children and young people up to the age of 21.
- Provide psychiatric nursing care in individual contacts and teams.
- Conduct qualified telephone advice and digital healthcare contacts.
- Manage medications and medical follow-ups.
- Work integratively and in parallel with psychosocial issues and potential psychiatric comorbidity.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare services in the region, as well as with home municipalities, schools, and other actors based on individual needs.
- Actively participate in the establishment of the operation, including the development of routines and working methods.
- Work at both the main clinic in Mora and the satellite clinic in Älvdalen.
- Conduct conversations both in person and digitally.
- The work is primarily during daytime hours, Monday–Friday, with evening shifts approximately once a week.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN).
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
Merits:
- Experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Experience working in risky use, harmful use, or dependence and/or psychiatry, preferably directed towards children and young people.
- Experience working with comorbidity – risky use, harmful use, or dependence combined with other psychiatric issues.
- Advanced education in psychiatric care (VUB).
- CBT – Basic Psychotherapy Education (Step 1).
- Education and/or experience in treatment methods such as MI, MET, AP, MOVE, A-CRA, CBT, or similar evidence-based methods.
