Mora Hospital is one of Region Dalarna's two emergency hospitals, offering the proximity and community of a smaller hospital combined with a broad emergency mandate. The hospital is responsible for specialist and emergency care for approximately 80,000 residents and also receives many patients during the year's tourist and event seasons. The Operation Anesthesia ICU Clinic consists of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), central operating theatre, day surgery, and sterile technology. Advanced care is provided around the clock here, with approximately 1,500 ICU patients and 4,500–5,000 surgeries annually, primarily within surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology. The clinic is also responsible for sterile technical services for the hospital and health centers in Region Dalarna, and participates in alarm teams, sedations, and patient transport.

We offer a permanent position on the Intensive Care Unit in Mora, provided that you undergo specialist training in intensive care within the next few years. As a general nurse, you are independently responsible for patients with less complex care needs. More complex patients are cared for together with a specialist nurse. The ICU specialist nurse is responsible for advanced nursing care for patients with threatened or manifest failure of vital functions due to severe illness, accidents, and advanced postoperative care. At our department, we have individual scheduling, and we currently work 2 out of 5 weekends. The requirements are that you:

• are a registered nurse

• Experience working in inpatient care/emergency care

We are looking for someone who is positive and meticulous, has a patient-focused approach, and treats both patients and colleagues well. You also have good verbal and written Swedish skills and are comfortable working with digital medical record systems. Your ability to multitask and handle stress is good, and you have the ability to juggle many priorities. We also value good teamwork skills and a flexible working style. We are looking for someone who is engaged and contributes to a good work environment. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability and previous references.
