About the Role

The specialized palliative care in Dalarna is a county-wide clinic with several teams covering the entire region. We work with a holistic approach, striving to create security and a good quality of life for patients and their loved ones.

Responsibilities

As a nurse at our organization, you will work with specialized palliative care in the patient's home. You will meet patients of all ages with various diagnoses and complex symptoms. Your responsibilities include:

• Assessment and planning of care based on the patient's needs and health condition
• Medical technology and nursing care, such as handling central lines, drainage, and medication treatment via pump
• Symptom relief and support for patients and their relatives
• Collaboration in a team with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and counselors to create secure and cohesive care
• Independent work with great responsibility and freedom – you plan your day and spend a large part of your time at the patients' homes

On-call duty at home during nights occurs approximately one week per month.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
