About the Department

The Rehabilitation is a county-wide specialist service located in five towns in Dalarna. Each unit houses both Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation and Adult Rehabilitation, featuring interdisciplinary teams with medical, psychological, social, and pedagogical competence. The Rehabilitation's mission is to offer individuals with congenital or early-acquired disabilities comprehensive specialist interventions to achieve the best possible functional capacity and a good quality of life.

Within the Rehabilitation, there is broad competence in the field of disability. We have a supportive and non-hierarchical climate, and our work environment is characterized by professionalism, learning, consideration, commitment, and tolerance. Placement can be discussed based on our various clinics. Job Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist at our clinic, your work will be educational and varied, with teamwork with other professions being central. Our team consists of occupational therapists, dietitians, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, doctors, psychologists, nurses, special educators/special teachers, and managers.

Your tasks as a physiotherapist include, among other things, investigating, initiating treatment, and following up on the patient's motor functions and development in their various environments, in close consultation with the patient and their relatives. You provide interventions to help the patient maintain, develop, and/or compensate for physical abilities. You assess needs, prescribe, and follow up on assistive devices.

Our work is done in close collaboration with our neighboring healthcare providers, municipal services, personal assistants, relatives, and others.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Physiotherapist degree/license.
  • Category B driver's license

Merits:

  • Some years of experience
  • Experience working with children, preferably within rehabilitation

You are proactive, flexible, and have a good ability to prioritize. You have a commitment and interest in working with our target group. You enjoy working in a team, but you also have a good ability to work independently. Through your professional attitude and communicative skills, you build good relationships with colleagues as well as patients and relatives, and contribute to a positive work climate. You are happy to share your knowledge and ask for help when needed. Personal suitability is given great weight.
