Do you want to make a difference in acute psychiatric care? Due to the expansion and restructuring of our operations, we are now looking for more nurses to join our team on Ward 60. Here, you will work in an engaged and competent team that puts the patient at the center. We offer a stimulating and educational work environment. Ward 60 is a psychiatric care unit with a unique location and mission.

Ward 60 at Falu Hospital is a general psychiatric inpatient unit with 14 beds. The ward offers treatment with Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), and also implements patient-initiated admission. Here, patients with various psychiatric diagnoses are treated according to different care models and with individually adapted care periods. Thanks to our close collaboration with somatic care, we admit patients with complex comorbidity – where psychiatric conditions are often combined with somatic care needs. This makes our work environment both varied, educational, and meaningful. We work in interprofessional teams with nurses, care assistants, and doctors, in close collaboration with psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other actors within healthcare and social services. This collaboration is crucial to providing our patients with the support they need.

On Ward 60, we work in care teams, divided into Care Team 1 and Care Team 2.

As a nurse, you have a central and leading role in the care team. You are responsible for driving and developing patient care together with nursing assistants and care assistants. The team also includes a ward doctor whom you collaborate with during rounds and in daily work. We work based on SafeWards and Meaningful 24-Hour Care, which means a structured and evidence-based approach where we focus on the patient's needs, safety, and involvement.

You will become a central part of the team and work with patients in psychiatric crisis. The work requires commitment and is built on creating safety and trust. We offer a 4-week introduction adapted to your needs so that you feel secure in your role.

Requirements:

• You are a registered nurse

Merits:

• Experience in somatic care
• Further education in psychiatry or other suitable further education
• Previous experience working with psychiatry or comorbidity
