Operations Coordinator for Joint Reception and Interventions Department

About the Department
The Joint Reception and Interventions Department is one of five departments and consists of nine units. The department is responsible for the initial contact with both citizens and professionals who may be in need of social services. Counseling, authority exercises, interventions with and without needs assessment are some of the main areas of responsibility. Interventions are provided both individually and in groups to children and adults. The department is also responsible for budget and debt counseling as well as investigating deceased estates.
Since 2022, the department has developed its operations using service design to utilize the knowledge citizens possess, thereby becoming a more open and accessible social service with the new Social Services Act as a benchmark. The development work has resulted in new ways of working and a new culture. Today, the administration is in demand in national contexts to talk about the development work that is ongoing.
Job Responsibilities
As an Operations Coordinator, you will contribute to the administration fulfilling its mission within the framework of current legislation, policy documents, strategies, and economic frameworks.
- In consultation with the unit manager, you will provide close case guidance and daily support to employees.
- Within the framework of supervision, you are expected to engage and motivate employees towards renewal and development, and work to ensure that the department's goals are achieved.
- You will identify development and training needs within the administration's processes and collaborate closely with business developers on these matters.
- The Operations Coordinator is responsible for developing and ensuring internal collaboration so that it is perceived as seamless for the individual.
- You will also work to develop and maintain external collaboration. The role requires that you are well acquainted with the social administration's mission and offerings, as well as having good knowledge of the social services' mission and the responsibilities of other collaborating administrations and authorities.
Qualifications and Merits
We are looking for you who have:
- A degree in Social Work (Socialworker)
- At least 3 years of experience as a social secretary or another equivalent experience that the employer deems relevant
- Active work with authority exercises according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on Care of Young People (LVU)
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
Meritorious:
- Experience in quality work, method support, and operationally close work
- Active work with LVU and/or LVM (Act for Care of Young Persons in Certain Circumstances / Act for Special Supervision of Certain Alcohol or Drug Dependent Persons)
- Experience in coordinated assignments, implementation of working methods, and support to managers and social secretaries within the social services' authority exercises
