SGDS central IT department is responsible for managing, operating, and further developing the digital platforms, business systems, and infrastructure solutions that keep the entire business running. Through stable operations, high information security, and continuous technical improvement work, a robust IT environment is ensured that supports everything from the daily needs of stores and the logistics chain to sales functions, customer-facing systems, financial processes, sustainability work, analytics platforms, and other core business areas.

The IT department works closely with the business with the mission to deliver scalable, modern solutions that drive digitalization forward throughout the organization, while simultaneously streamlining processes and creating conditions for an even stronger and more cohesive customer experience. The IT department is also part of Saint-Gobain Distribution Nordic, and some assignments may take place across national borders.

Responsibilities

In the role of Security Officer, you work with security, compliance, and information management at the intersection of technology, business operations, and group requirements. You have a coordinating function where you support the organization with new solutions, applications, and projects.

The work is broad and involves handling security-related issues, following up on incidents, training users, preparing materials for decision-making, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. You become a key contact point between the group's security requirements and local implementation, helping the business understand, prioritize, and put guidelines into practice.

You work closely with the CTO - Head of Infrastructure & IT Security and become a central part of keeping information flows, project tracks, and security tasks together, while contributing to developing working methods and strengthening the organization's security maturity.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Conduct security assessments and audits, and identify vulnerabilities and risks
• Monitor and follow up on security incidents and coordinate actions with relevant parties
• Develop, update, and quality-assure security policies, standards, and processes
• Train internal users and IT staff in security awareness
• Support projects during the introduction of new systems and ensure requirements are met
• Evaluate new security technologies and solutions to strengthen the company's security level
• Collaborate with external suppliers and security organizations

Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities

• Post-secondary education in computer science, IT, or a related field
• Work experience in information security, IT security, or a similar area
• Experience in coordinating or project management work
• Advantageous with experience of ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or other security frameworks
• Advantageous with experience of security tools such as vulnerability scanners, firewalls, encryption, or penetration testing
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
