About the Role

Do you want to make a difference? If you are not already a licensed security guard, Securitas will cover the cost of your training prior to employment.

We are currently looking for security guards for our office in Halmstad for a temporary position starting in early September. Shifts are distributed across weekdays and weekends, as well as both day and night shifts. Shift lengths vary but are often 12-hour shifts. Since we are a business that operates year-round, working every other weekend is common.

The positions suit you if you enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a security guard at our office in Halmstad, you will become part of a tight-knit team. The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors.

As a patrol security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to our customers – primarily at industrial sites, offices, and workshops – by protecting property and buildings against fire, theft, and damage. Usually, you manage the alarm systems and report using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often feels free, but comes with significant responsibility.

As a stationary security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring everything is in order. You often work at the entrance to a larger company, checking those entering and leaving, but you may also perform patrols and camera surveillance. Tasks vary from customer to customer. You work independently and under your own responsibility.

• Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school
• Category B driver's license

Merits if you

• have worked with similar tasks previously
• have a civilian or military security guard training

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you are required to have approved grades from upper secondary school in Swedish and English, as well as be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security investigation according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also become relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information collected may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when testing suitability for each position.

Salary and terms of employment are based on a collective agreement between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
