About the Role

At Ringhals, you have the opportunity to work in a business where safety, responsibility, and collaboration are in focus. We are now looking for an Engineer in Protection who wants to contribute to our important work within radiation protection.

We are currently looking for an Engineer in Protection for the group Operational Protection Operation Ringhals 3 & 4.

About the Position

Operational Protection is responsible for performing, developing, and managing tasks within the business area (Protecting individuals, facilities, and the environment) for the entire company.

As an Engineer in Protection, you will work within the field of operational protection, which includes both radiation protection and occupational health and safety.

The work spans all operations and includes, among other things:

• Independent protection work as well as monitoring and control of the facilities' status and internal environment from a protection perspective.
• Collaboration with contractors by planning individual tasks and participating in projects and major maintenance work.
• Documentation responsibility, meaning you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing routines for our operations. Furthermore, you have overall responsibility to ensure that work is documented and carried out correctly.
• Acting as an instructor in certain radiation protection training courses and being part of Ringhals emergency preparedness.

Requirements

About You

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education. You have relevant radiation protection training or equivalent knowledge, and experience from operation, maintenance, or protection activities at a nuclear power plant is meritorious. The role requires very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of English.

The work involves a high degree of freedom under responsibility, so you need to be self-reliant, meticulous, and service-oriented. To contribute to the unit's development, we want you to be creative, receptive, and positive towards change. It is also important that you enjoy working in a team and want to contribute to our cross-boundary work within Ringhals.
