The Supply Unit North staff will be the engine in building long-term military endurance in the north, and you will play a key role in building a new organization in a daily life characterized by development, establishment, and change.
Supply Unit North
Supply Unit North (FörsE Norr) is a newly established unit within the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG), responsible for logistics to military bases and units within Military Region North. The unit is in a build-up phase, responsible for establishing a staff in Boden as well as warehouse operations at several locations in Norrland. The operations are characterized by growth, gradually increasing deliveries, and the need to develop functioning structures, cooperation, and working methods over time. The staff is planned to consist of both military and civilian personnel with broad competencies. The staff supports the Commander of Supply Unit North by creating decision support materials, ensuring that decisions are translated into practical action, and by planning, coordinating, and following up on operations.
Main Responsibilities
As a Logistics Administrator for Logistics Support Systems, you are the staff's specialist within the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics support systems. You are responsible for developing, monitoring, and quality-assuring the information that underpins logistics operations, as well as supporting the operation in the use of LIFT and PRIO.
Initially, the position will have a clear focus on helping to build the warehouse structure. Thereafter, the focus shifts to developing, monitoring, and quality-assuring the logistics processes in the support systems.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Participate in the establishment and continued development of the warehouse structure
- Monitor and analyze inventory control and inventory reporting in the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics support systems
- Identify discrepancies in warehouse reporting and initiate and coordinate measures to ensure an accurate and fair warehouse picture
- Act as a specialist and expert support in matters concerning the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics support systems
- Plan, conduct, and further develop training, and serve as user support for the unit's personnel within the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics support systems.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- University or college degree, or equivalent relevant education and professional experience as assessed by the employer
- Documented current experience of working in PRIO and/or LIFT
- Category B driver's license – manual transmission
Personal Attributes
We are looking for someone who is structured, analytical, and meticulous. You have a strong interest in logistics processes and information management, as well as the ability to analyze relationships and identify causes of discrepancies.
You work independently and methodically, take initiative, and drive issues to completion. At the same time, you have good pedagogical skills and enjoy sharing your knowledge by training and supporting other users.
Since the position involves many contact surfaces, you have good collaboration skills, are communicative, and build trusting relationships. You express yourself well orally and in writing and have a professional and service-oriented approach.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Merits
- Documented experience of working within or towards a staff in the defense sector
- Documented experience of working with FM logistics processes and/or training personnel who are to use PRIO/LIFT
- Completed logistics training within the Swedish Armed Forces or civilian
- Training in LOGFAS
