Your Role

Within the Communication Solutions department, we work to digitalize the Swedish Armed Forces and strengthen their success and security in military operations. We offer advanced solutions within command and control support systems, autonomy, cyber defense, space, decision support, communications, and system-of-systems solutions.

The department is responsible for delivering system solutions within coastal and air defense. We are now looking for two present and action-oriented leaders with the ability to create direction, drive development, and give their employees the right conditions for success. As Section Manager, you are responsible for both competence supply and the development of working methods, both internally within the section and together with other parts of the business. These will be two newly established sections consisting of employees working with different levels of commitments within system work for our delivery projects. The number of employees will grow and reach 15–25 per section by 2026, and they are primarily located in Arboga and Solna. This section and the entire product unit are facing a period of strong growth, which means there will be a high focus on growth while we deliver on our commitments.

You will become part of the product unit's management group and have close collaboration with other managers and functions to achieve common goals. The business is conducted in Arboga, Järfälla, Solna, and Linköping, which means that business travel occurs. However, the work will primarily be focused on the operations in Arboga.

Your Profile

We are looking for you with relevant post-secondary education, for example in engineering or systems science, and documented experience from a leadership role in a technical environment – preferably with a focus on the military domain. We also value if you have worked in organizations during growth and change, preferably in complex assignments and with operations spread across several geographical locations.

It is meritorious if you have experience in Systems Engineering, or a broader understanding of the Swedish Armed Forces' operations and structure, and for some parts of the assignment, this may be a prerequisite for quickly getting into the role.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the currently valid regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

Please note that the selection process will take place during the summer. Interviews are expected to be conducted in August/September.
