Do you want to strengthen information security at a government agency with an important societal mission? We are looking for you who have experience in information security work and want to contribute to developing our systematic security work.
We are looking for you who have good knowledge of information management and information security and who want to contribute to developing the agency's systematic work in this area. In the role, you are responsible for developing and ensuring that the agency meets the regulated requirements regarding information management and information security. You are also responsible for the agency having an information security management system and for the work being integrated into the agency's information systems and regular working methods. The assignment involves working both strategically and operationally within your area of responsibility, in close collaboration with, among others, the agency's Data Protection Officer, archivist, lawyers, and system administrators.
An important part of the assignment is to provide advice, training, and internal information to create understanding and raise the competence level within the agency.
The role also includes:
- Analyzing, implementing, documenting, and following up on the agency's information security work
- Developing the agency's governing and supporting processes in the area
- Driving and further developing the agency's information security work
- Holding internal training sessions and providing advice and information to the agency's employees
Competence Requirements
- Relevant post-secondary education, corresponding to at least EQF level 5, or equivalent working life experience that we assess as equivalent.
- At least two years of current experience in information management and information security work, as well as good knowledge of relevant regulations.
- At least two years of experience in systematic information security work, such as risk analyses, governing documents, follow-up, or improvement work.
- Experience in providing support, advice, or training within information security or information management.
- Knowledge of system administration, document management systems, and generally good understanding of IT-related issues
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
Merits
- Experience in information management and information security from the public sector
- Further education and/or certification specifically within the area of responsibility
- Knowledge of and experience with personal data processing as well as public access and secrecy legislation
Personal Qualities
As a person, you have integrity and a high security awareness. You work solution-oriented and adapt easily to changed conditions and are responsive to the organization's needs. Furthermore, you need to be self-reliant and able to structure your work. With your pedagogical skills, you create understanding for the systematic security work and have the ability to maintain trusting relationships. You are a good communicator both orally and in writing and are accustomed to using various IT systems.

Organizational Placement
You will work at the Legal Unit, which currently consists of 14 employees. The unit consists of lawyers, registrars, an archivist, procurement officers, and case handlers, and has, among other things, a coordinating responsibility for information management. Your place of work will be Västerås.
The Swedish Agency for Higher Vocational Education's main task is to be responsible for issues concerning higher vocational education in Sweden and to work to ensure that the education meets the labor market's need for competence. We are also responsible for post-secondary arts and culture education as well as interpreter training within adult education. We also promote and coordinate validation issues and are the national coordination point for the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). We analyze the labor market's need for education, decide which education should be included in higher vocational education, and grant state funds to education providers. The agency exercises supervision and handles complaints about the education that falls within our area of responsibility. We also review the quality of the education, produce statistics, and follow up on the results of the education.
The Swedish Agency for Higher Vocational Education has approximately 150 employees distributed across nine units with its main office in Västerås and an office in Hässleholm.
