Your Role

We are looking for a Test and Verification Engineer who wants to take clear responsibility for the test and verification work in our development projects. You will work in a project team with support from an assigned supervisor, but the role requires you to independently plan, lead, and carry out your tasks, ensuring that deliverables meet set goals, requirements, and schedules.

The role includes writing test plans and test specifications, performing functional tests, and verification through testing and analysis. You are responsible for planning what is to be tested, when it should be done, and which test methods are most suitable, as well as making decisions and giving recommendations related to the verification strategy. This includes, among other things, testing against environmental and performance requirements, such as EMC, vibration, temperature, and humidity.

The work is often hardware-oriented and takes place in close collaboration with several technical areas, both within and outside the project. A large part of the role involves working across interfaces and acting as a sub-project leader within the test and verification area, where you drive activities forward and ensure a structured and efficient working method throughout the entire development chain.

The position is preferably located in Arboga, but Linköping is also a possible alternative. Travel is involved in the role.

Your Profile

We believe you have a technical engineering education, such as a Master of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or a University College degree, or alternatively, you have acquired equivalent competence through relevant work experience. You have several years of experience in test and verification work or related roles and are accustomed to writing test specifications and performing and following up on tests.

To succeed in the role, you need to be confident in leading your own work, making decisions, and giving well-founded recommendations. You have a good understanding of hardware-oriented testing and thrive in a technically complex environment where collaboration, communication, and coordination with other functions are crucial.

As a person, you are flexible, forward-looking, and solution-oriented. You take clear ownership of your deliverables, find it easy to work across organizational and technical boundaries, and are motivated by driving issues forward even when conditions change. You are curious, development-oriented, and want to contribute to both the team's and the business's long-term success.

It is desirable, but not a requirement, that you have:

• Experience with or knowledge of tools and frameworks such as INCOSE, DOORS (or work as a requirements analyst), and Jira
• Experience from the defense industry, communication solutions, network technology, as well as integration and system assembly
• Certification within ISTQB, project management experience, and military background.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
