You will step into an organization within education and research that is undergoing several major infrastructural shifts. The environment is complex, consisting of both in-house developed systems and established standard products, which places high demands on holistic vision, security, and long-term planning. Here, you will help shape the direction for identity and access solutions, cloud-based services, and the overall IT environment.

This role suits you if you thrive on combining strategy and technology. You will work closely with specialists in operations, development, and projects, as well as business representatives, to capture needs, analyze requirements, and translate them into clear architectural decisions. A central part of the assignment is to contribute expertise in identity and access management, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, federation, and Zero Trust-based security architecture. This is an opportunity to influence long-term technical decisions in a hybrid environment where the architecture needs to be robust, scalable, and future-proof.

• You initiate and drive the work on target architecture and technical direction for the infrastructure.
• You analyze business requirements and need profiles, translating them into sustainable infrastructure design.
• You design and further develop solutions within identity and access management, including authentication flows and federation solutions.
• You contribute to the modernization of Active Directory and integrations with Azure AD and Microsoft Entra ID.
• You provide technical advice to projects, operations, development, and IT management regarding architectural issues and change initiatives.
• You document architectural decisions, target architectures, and standardized solution patterns in a structured manner.
• You support the implementation of new platforms, technical standards, and transformations related to, for example, identity platforms and cloud services.

• You have experience in creating target architecture and technical roadmaps for infrastructure.
• You have relevant certification or equivalent knowledge in infrastructure architecture, security, or IT architecture, such as TOGAF or CISSP.
• You have good knowledge of modern infrastructure architecture and established practices in the field.
• You have experience with standardized methods for documenting solution and infrastructure architecture.
• You have a good understanding of architectural principles within infrastructure, such as scalability, redundancy, security, and recovery.
• You have worked in organizations where in-house system development is combined with standard products.
• You have documented experience in several of the following areas: network architecture, server and storage solutions, container platforms, identity and access, and security architecture within infrastructure.
• You have experience with complex IT environments involving hybrid, on-premises, and cloud.
• You have experience in translating business requirements into technical infrastructure design.
• You have experience in driving and implementing changes in a structured manner, as well as working with the lifecycle management of technical infrastructure.
• You have experience in driving transformations, such as identity platform migration or cloud journeys.
• You communicate architectural issues clearly and pedagogically to both technicians, IT management, and business representatives.
• You have experience in introducing new platforms or technical standards.

• You have experience with agile working methods, such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
• You have experience with DevOps, such as CI/CD, automated delivery flows, or close collaboration between development and operations.
• You enjoy taking initiative, working independently, and handling multiple parallel issues simultaneously.
