We are looking for nursing assistants for the staffing team in Östra Göinge Municipality

In Östra Göinge Municipality, we have a shared staffing unit for the municipality's operations, where our primary task is to cover short-term absences. The staffing unit consists partly of a staffing team with nursing assistants, childcare workers, and cooks who work full-time. In addition, we have hourly substitutes who cover gaps. Our entire operation is based on the fact that the employees in the staffing team are people with various competencies who want, can, and have the ability to work broadly within:

• Health and care (elderly care, LSS support, personal assistance, day activities)
• Preschool and school
• Facility cleaning
• Meal unit
• Contact center

Job Responsibilities

Do you have a passion for care work and are you trained as a nursing assistant? Are you a person who thrives and is driven by having a large variety in tasks and workplace? Become part of our team!

We are looking for employees for the staffing team who can cover short-term absences across the entire health and care area. In practice, this means you may work in home care, special housing, disability support, personal assistance, or social psychiatry. It depends entirely on where the need is! The common denominator is that your duties include care work such as personal care, insulin and medication delegation, and documentation.

The work is scheduled for all days of the week and all hours of the day, with a 37-hour work week. You must be able to work days, evenings, awake nights, on-call nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

To work with us, you have a vocational degree from the upper secondary school's care and nursing program or approved grades from adult education courses in care and nursing (1500 credits). You feel confident in your role as a nursing assistant. Merits if you have:

• Experience within elderly care
• Experience within disability support
• Previous experience as a pool employee

You need to have the ability to adapt to your surroundings because the workday often varies from day to day. For example, you might start the morning in a home care group and then move to another in the afternoon. This implies not only flexibility but also the ability to adhere to the routines and working methods present at the different workplaces.

You have the physical ability to perform the tasks included in the assignment, such as lifting, personal care, and transfers, with the help of ergonomic aids.

You master the Swedish language both in speech and writing, can cycle, hold a B driver's license, and have access to your own car. You are also accustomed to using the computer as a tool in your work.

It is important that you share our values and see your role as a support/helping hand to the municipality's operations in the work of making our citizens satisfied and proud. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Before an employment offer is considered, extracts from the criminal record and suspicion register directed towards work in the home with the elderly and persons with disabilities, as well as work with children with disabilities, are required.

Employment Type and Terms

• Employment Type: Permanent position.
• Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
• Working Hours: 37-hour work week, work can be scheduled at all hours of the day and all days of the year.
