The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (VO) has over 900 employees and comprises both gynecological and obstetric activities. Operations are conducted in both Lund and Malmö, with approximately 9,000 deliveries and 114,000 outpatient visits per year. As a university hospital, we also have assignments within development and education. Successful research is conducted within the department. Approximately 95 doctors are employed by us, distributed across the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Specialty Training (ST) sections. The Obstetrics and Gynecology ST section currently includes over 45 doctors, with slightly more in Malmö compared to Lund.

DUTIES

We are now looking for two resident doctors (underläkare) for the Obstetrics and Gynecology ST Section within the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department (VO) in Lund for a one-year temporary position.

Working as a resident doctor with us includes work in inpatient care, within obstetrics (BB ward) and gynecology (gynecology ward). The work is always performed under supervision and in consultation with specialty trainees, specialist doctors, or senior consultants, and includes patient examinations, ward rounds, medical record keeping, prescribing medication and tests, as well as writing referrals and discharge reports.

The work will take place exclusively in Lund.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare, or alternatively, you have completed T10 in medical school. Proficiency in Swedish at level C1 or higher according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.

Of course, you have a great interest in gynecology and obstetrics, and we view previous work experience in the field, as well as research, as meritorious.

You have good collaboration and communication skills. Furthermore, we want you to have a genuine interest in research, development, and education. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
