The Business Area (VO) of Hematology, Oncology, and Radiation Physics is responsible for non-surgical cancer care and research-based development in the southern healthcare region, which has a population of approximately 1.6 million inhabitants. The business area has outpatient and inpatient units in Malmö, Lund, and Helsingborg.
Ward 86 is the only oncological inpatient ward in Lund and Malmö that cares for patients with tracheostomies as well as patients undergoing ongoing radioactive treatments. We work with person-centered care delivered through teamwork between nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors, as well as physiotherapists and occupational therapists. The work on the ward is varied, featuring specialized oncological nursing such as cytostatic treatment, radiotherapy, and pain optimization. We offer an stimulating work environment and value development work and further education for both new and experienced staff.

Job Responsibilities
As a nurse with us, you will have a varied and meaningful daily routine where you work close to the patient and, together with your team, contribute to safe and person-centered care.
In addition to specialized oncological tasks, common nursing duties are included, such as medication management, administration, sampling, and documentation. In your role, you work with various medical technical aids, central lines, and intravenous medications. Furthermore, psychosocial care is a large part of our daily work. As a nurse with us, you are significant, and your competence is highly valued. Together with nursing assistants and doctors, you are an important part of the patient's team and have a leading role with opportunities to influence the operations.
As a new employee, you will receive an introduction adapted to your previous experience and needs over a period of six weeks. After the initial shadowing period, support continues through mentorship with an experienced nurse who is there for you. We always assume that every new employee has their own learning pace and consider it natural that you receive support from colleagues to feel safe and secure in your new role.
We work with business-adapted schedules that, as much as possible, are based on your wishes and needs, ensuring compliance with working time laws. The position includes weekend work, with two weekends every five weeks.
Qualifications
We look forward to welcoming you as a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level of C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. Experience with care documentation in journal systems such as Melior or equivalent is considered an advantage. Additionally, if you have a specialist education relevant to the position and experience in oncology or palliative care, this is valuable.
The ideal candidate should be curious about development and contribute their knowledge to the work group, actively participating in creating a good work climate. You enjoy working in a team while being confident in working independently and making your own decisions. Furthermore, you have good social competence and teamwork skills. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
