Youth Job Opportunity in Healthcare and Social Care – Hörby Municipality

Hörby Municipality offers a variety of tasks and professions. Working with us is primarily about providing service to our citizens. We actively work to be a good employer with favorable employment conditions, a good work environment, and opportunities for development.

Hörby Municipality is now offering youth jobs within two of our key operations: healthcare and social care (and the kitchen unit - published in a separate job ad).

This is an opportunity for you who want to gain work experience, try out a profession, and take a step closer to work or studies. You do not need to have worked before. The most important thing is that you are curious, eager to try things out, and interested in learning.

When you start, you will receive an introduction to the workplace. You will also be assigned a supervisor or contact person who will help you get started with your tasks and whom you can turn to during your employment.

3 positions available.

Job Responsibilities

In healthcare and social care, you will work within elderly care, for example in a care or service apartment. You will be part of an operation where elderly people receive support, security, and community in their daily lives.

You will work together with regular staff and become part of a team where different professional roles collaborate around the daily lives of the elderly, such as assistant nurses, care assistants, and nurses.

You might, for example, help with:

  • Social activities
  • Walks and outdoor activities
  • Support during meals
  • Simpler practical tasks in daily life
  • Contributing to well-being, security, and community
  • Serving as extra support in activities and everyday situations

An important part of the job is to meet people with respect and contribute to a meaningful daily life for the elderly.

You will not perform tasks that require healthcare education, delegation, medication handling, or independent care responsibility.

This role is suitable for you who are curious about working with people and want to try what it is like to work in elderly care.

Qualifications

The positions are part of a special initiative for youth jobs. Therefore, we prioritize applicants who are outside of work and studies.

You do not need education or previous work experience. However, it is an advantage if you enjoy service, practical work, or helping other people. Most importantly, you must be interested, willing to learn, and do your best based on your conditions.

For employment, you must be able to show an extract from the police criminal record before starting.

Employment Terms

  • Type of employment: Fixed-term employment
  • Duration: September 1 to December 31, 2026
  • Scope: 50 percent, approx. four hours per day
  • Salary: Hourly wage + holiday pay, according to collective agreement
  • Last application date: July 31
  • Interviews: Planned during week 32, on August 6 and 7.

In this recruitment, we have replaced the cover letter with selection questions. This makes the application easier and helps us assess all applicants in an equal manner. Your answers are an important part of our selection. You can also attach a CV if you wish.

We warmly welcome your application!
