About Helsingborg and Helsingborg Hospital

Helsingborg, the pearl of the Sound, is located in an excellent position in the Öresund Region with proximity and good connections to both Helsingør and to Ängelholm, Landskrona, Lund, and Malmö. Helsingborg Hospital is one of Region Skåne's four emergency hospitals. Here, qualified emergency care is provided around the clock.

On the day surgery department, adults and children over one year old from all surgical specialties as well as endoscopy and radiology departments are treated. We are a combined admission department for patients who continue to inpatient care, while we also perform day surgery. The pre- and postoperative care takes place on the department. We have both planned and subacute operations. The department is open Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who are a nurse with a great interest in pre- and postoperative care!

In the role of a nurse on the day surgery department, you work with pre- and postoperative care, as well as care for patients with increased monitoring needs or needs for a higher level of care. We also function as an admission department for patients who continue to inpatient care after surgery. Your work is very varied and we provide service to all types of surgical specialties.

To ensure that you, as a new employee, get into your role as well as possible, we offer an individual introduction based on your previous experience and competencies. In addition, you are offered internal training.

The positions are two temporary assignments of approximately one year each, starting at the end of August/beginning of September.

Qualifications

We welcome you who are a registered nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. You have knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Work experience in pre- and postoperative care as well as from any of the following areas: emergency care, surgery, orthopedics, urology, and/or gynecology is considered advantageous. Furthermore, it is also beneficial if you have previously worked in existing IT systems within healthcare, such as Orbit and Melior.

You who apply appreciate challenges and flexibility in your work and have a positive attitude towards both patients and colleagues. It is important that you thrive and function well in communicating and collaborating in teams, both with your own and other professions. Furthermore, you are good at planning and prioritizing between different tasks and are careful and work both systematically and patient-safely, even in situations when the pace is high.
