You aim high. And keep your feet on the ground. Just like us.

Do you want to shape the digital workplace of the future in one of Sweden's fastest-growing municipalities? Are you looking for a role where you can dive deep into modern cloud technology, drive automation, and ensure a secure client environment? Then you might be the IT Systems Engineer we are looking for at Sundbyberg Municipality!

Here at the IT Department, we are responsible for support and operations of the city's IT environment. You will become an important part of the work to ensure that the city's operations have a functioning and stable IT environment. Through your work, you contribute to the city's employees being able to perform their tasks for residents, students, and users. The IT Department is part of the Development and Business Department, within the Sector for Leadership and Coordination, and works closely with colleagues and operations throughout the organization.

As a Systems Engineer with a focus on client management, you have overall responsibility for our client platforms throughout their lifecycle. You combine advanced technical platform work with proactively driving development, patching, and automation, so that the city's employees always have the right digital tools for their tasks.

The position requires you to be on-site in our premises to a large extent, but some remote work may occur when the work allows. You report directly to the IT Operations Manager.

Examples of areas of responsibility:

  • Manage and further develop our endpoint platform with a focus on Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, as well as lifecycle management for mobile devices.
  • Streamline processes via Windows Autopilot and PowerShell, as well as handle application packaging and distribution.
  • Handle patching, compliance, GPOs, as well as identity and access management via Entra ID and Active Directory.
  • Secure the client environment through technical documentation, processes, and routines, and act as third-line support for the service desk.

We want you to have

  • At least upper secondary IT education or equivalent knowledge that we assess as equivalent.
  • At least 4–5 years of experience with client solutions and endpoint management in a larger organization.
  • Deep technical competence in Windows platforms, M365, Microsoft Intune, and SCCM.
  • Practical experience in administration and management of mobile devices (MDM/MAM).
  • Good familiarity with patching, policy management (GPO), application packaging, as well as identity management via Entra ID/Active Directory.
  • Good understanding of networking and IT security.
  • Fluent skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Additionally, it is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience with scripting and automation, for example via PowerShell.
  • Experience with macOS.

To succeed in the role, we are looking for you who are a structured team player passionate about modern cloud solutions. You are a problem solver who likes to dive deep into technology to find smart and secure solutions. You have a natural drive to improve working methods, work independently with changes, and communicate easily with both technical and non-technical colleagues. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Sundbyberg Municipality is a modern workplace where digitalization and innovation are important. We offer a dynamic work environment where you have the opportunity to influence and develop both IT and the operations as a whole. We invest in our employees and offer good opportunities for personal development and a strong team spirit.

Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis. We do not accept applications via email.

The position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date by agreement. Probation period may be applied.
