In the role of Social Media Channel Manager, you serve as both channel owner and specialist for the bank's social media platforms. While your role is operational, you are also responsible for strategy, governance, and continuous development of the channels in close collaboration with Marketing and the Content Studio. The focus is on driving performance, customer interaction, and sales. The role involves planning and producing content, but does not carry primary responsibility for content creation itself. Our social media channels include Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.

At Swedbank, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop, test, analyze, and manage Swedbank's social media channels with a focus on performance, customer interaction, and business results.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, the content team, and other cross-functional teams to create strong and efficient ways of working within social media.
  • Develop methods and workflows for channel management, optimization, and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders by acting as an advisor in channel strategy, distribution, and content optimization.

For this role, you need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
  • Substantial experience (at least 5–7 years) in operational work with social media channels.
  • A strong understanding of audience behavior, digital trends, and platform-specific algorithms.
  • Experience with data-driven work, including analysis, optimization, and performance marketing.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in working insight-driven and translating data into concrete business decisions.
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive work forward in a structured and proactive manner.
  • Knowledge of channel strategy, distribution, SEO/discoverability, metadata, and community management.
  • Experience working with relevant analytics and publishing tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
  • Experience with paid distribution and audience targeting (e.g., via Meta Ads Manager, boosting, and reach strategies).
  • Knowledge of social media listening and monitoring (e.g., through tools like Brandwatch, Meltwater, or similar).
