The Orthopedics Business Area (VO) currently consists of three care wards, one located in Lund and two in Malmö. The orthopedic ward in Lund is an emergency care unit with 21 beds. The ward's profile focuses on acute patients with common orthopedic diagnoses and patients with prosthesis-related infections, where we offer advanced medical and surgical treatment.

Lund is home to one of Sweden's sarcoma centers, where our ward contributes high-specialized care and treatment for sarcoma patients from southern Sweden. Our broad expertise means you will work with multi-morbid adult patients of varying ages.

At our workplace, we work according to Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model, which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our operations. The program is divided into five phases, each including training and learning activities. The development program describes lifelong learning with linked learning objectives that are both hospital-wide and specific to orthopedic care. Each phase is linked to a clear competency description. Our goal as a ward is to have nurses in all phases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working on an orthopedic care ward is rewarding and varied. As a nurse, you will work with both basic and highly specialized orthopedic nursing. We actively work with person-centered care, and as a nurse, you will work both independently and as part of a team, with the patient always at the center.

Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, pre- and post-operative care, medication management, sample collection, and rehabilitation. You will work day/evening shifts as a nurse with us.

Our ward has a nursing council where nurses participate and work with evidence-based nursing, contributing to development and competency assurance.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. Previous work experience as a nurse is considered an advantage.
