Luleå Port is growing and developing through major projects and investments. Here you will play a key role in creating structure and quality in both projects and operations, alongside dedicated colleagues.

Luleå Port is the sustainable link to the world for Luleå and Norrbotten. We are a proud community builder and a vital enabler for industry, business, and life in the north. Our workplace extends from the port, offices, and quays to the archipelago and the sea. We are currently shaping the port of the future, and on this journey, we want to be a secure workplace where we support each other, on land and at sea.

About the role

As a QHSE Coordinator (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment), you are responsible for ensuring that work within quality, environment, and occupational health and safety functions in practice – in both projects and daily operations.

You work both operationally and strategically in this role. The majority of the work takes place close to the operations and projects, where you provide support in daily tasks and ensure that routines, requirements, and processes are followed. At the same time, you contribute at a broader level by developing working methods, creating structure, and working with follow-ups to ensure continuous improvement. Therefore, the role involves a combination of practical, operationally close work and long-term development, with a clear focus on operational support in projects and operations.

You belong to the Safety and Port Management department and work closely with project managers, site managers, and other functions within the operation. The role involves ensuring that legal requirements, permits, and internal routines are complied with, as well as participating in risk assessments, safety rounds, and follow-ups. You also contribute to working within a complex risk environment related to port operations, shipping, and the handling of hazardous materials such as flammable goods.

An important part of the role is to follow up on contractors and suppliers and support the operations within your area of responsibility. You also work on developing working methods, processes, and routines, while driving follow-ups, deviation management, and improvement work to create a safe and efficient operation.

In the role, you also serve as a crucial link between projects, operations, and contractors. Through close collaboration with both internal and external parties, you ensure that set requirements are integrated into the operations, followed up on, and implemented in daily work.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for you who want to help create structure, quality, and sustainable working methods in an operation that is constantly evolving. You thrive in a role where you can combine strategic thinking with operational work close to the business, and where you contribute to both long-term improvements and daily work.

As a person, you are structured, self-initiating, and solution-oriented. You find it easy to collaborate with different types of people and feel confident in dialogues with both colleagues and external parties. We also see that you have the ability to translate requirements, guidelines, and regulations into practical and functional working methods that create value in the operation and facilitate daily work.
