Do you want to work on complex building construction projects while contributing to the development of the Swedish process industry? We are now looking for an experienced Building Designer (Civil Engineer) for AFRY in Luleå. Here you will work on varied assignments within the process industry – from early-stage feasibility studies to construction documentation – together with a competent and engaged team. Information about the position

Professionals Nord is recruiting a Building Designer on behalf of AFRY. The assignment is part of our staffing solution. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant for AFRY for 12 months. The intention is that you may eventually be hired directly by AFRY, provided all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

Responsibilities

In the role of Building Designer, you work with design and construction within the process industry. You are responsible for technical solutions and collaborate closely with both customers and the project organization to ensure high quality throughout the project.

Examples of responsibilities include:

• Act as design and/or calculation lead in projects
• Responsible for planning, follow-up, and execution of assignments regarding time, quality, and economy
• Coordinate and collaborate with clients as well as internal and external designers
• Act as a consulting designer in early project phases
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers and contribute to long-term customer relationships

We are looking for you who

We believe that your personal qualities are crucial for how well you will thrive in the role at AFRY. We are looking for someone with solid experience as a Building Designer who enjoys working in technically complex projects. You have good knowledge of current building legislation, as well as experience in building design and structural calculations. We would like you to have competence in one or more areas such as concrete, steel, timber, or foundation design. Experience from process or other industrial operations is an advantage.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented. You find it easy to collaborate with others, enjoy customer dialogues, and are motivated by contributing to the development of both projects and the business. We preferably see that you have a university or civil engineering degree in a relevant field.
