About the role

As a contract engineer in industrial piping, you will play a central role in our operations. You will work broadly and be responsible for, among other things, calculating and submitting bids for inquiries agreed upon within the department and the company. With responsibility for evaluating and following up on calculations as well as monitoring project progress, you ensure that we deliver according to the requirements specified in the contracts. You will also actively seek out new projects to bid on. As a contract engineer, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Site Manager, and other colleagues.

Main responsibilities

• Customer and supplier visits
• Organize and administer bid and quotation processes
• Prepare calculations and create documentation for bids
• Analyze drawings and specifications to determine material and labor costs
• Monitor the market for interesting assignments
• Plan and prepare for project start together with the project team
• Work closely with project management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success
• Review and approve supplier invoices
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with procurement and contract matters

We are looking for someone who

• Has a university degree in a relevant field, or has acquired equivalent knowledge through longer professional experience
• We prefer that you have experience driving projects in industrial piping or held similar roles previously
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English. Proficiency in Finnish is considered an asset.
• Hold a valid driver's license (Category B)
• Have good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Focus on achieving good business results
