About the Role

As a construction engineer in industrial piping, you will play a central role in our operations. You will have a broad scope of work, including calculating and submitting bids for inquiries agreed upon within the department and the company. Responsible for evaluating and following up on calculations as well as monitoring project progress, you ensure that we deliver according to the requirements specified in the contracts. You will also actively search for new projects to bid on. As a construction engineer, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Site Manager, and other colleagues.

Main Responsibilities

• Customer and supplier visits
• Organize and administer bid and quotation processes
• Prepare calculations and create documentation for bids
• Analyze drawings and specifications to determine material and labor costs
• Monitor the market for interesting opportunities
• Plan and prepare for project start-ups together with the project team
• Work closely with project management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success
• Review and approve supplier invoices
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with procurement and contract matters

We are looking for someone who

• Has a university degree in a relevant field, or has acquired equivalent knowledge through extensive work experience
• Has experience driving projects in industrial piping or held similar roles previously
• Has good proficiency in Swedish and English. Proficiency in Finnish is considered an asset.
• Has a valid B-class driver's license
• Has good computer skills (Office suite)
• Focuses on achieving profitable business outcomes
