LSS Case Worker for Individual and Family Care in Svalöv Municipality
Svalöv Municipality, with its strategic location within the "Family of Helsingborg," offers proximity, optimism, and a favorable climate for work and life. Good transport connections make commuting easy. Approximately 14,500 residents live here.
The Individual and Family Care department works to provide support and assistance to children, young people, adults, and families in vulnerable situations. Our mission is to create security, promote good living conditions, and strengthen individual independence – always with the person at the center.
Within IFO (Individual and Family Care), there are four units: Investigation and Follow-up, Work, Integration and Welfare, Authority Unit, and Outpatient Care. In total, approximately 50 employees work together to make life better for the citizens of Svalöv.
Who are we?
Yes, we are a dedicated and experienced work team in a moderately sized municipality with high ambitions for the benefit of our citizens. Our unit consists of two LSS case workers, four benefit case workers, and two fee case workers.
We are now looking for a new colleague, an LSS case worker, as our current colleague is moving on to new challenges after ten years.
With us, you will have experienced and helpful colleagues who work towards common goals. We want to collaborate and cooperate in our daily work; we support each other and develop the unit together.

Job Responsibilities

Svalöv Municipality is now looking for a dedicated LSS case worker who wants to contribute to creating good living conditions for people with disabilities.
About the role:
As an LSS case worker, you have a meaningful and varied job where you investigate, assess, and follow up on needs and interventions. Your focus is on cases within the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) as well as certain interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL), for example, housing support. You are a key part of ensuring legally secure assessments and that interventions are based on the individual's needs, wishes, and life situation.
Your responsibilities:
- Investigate, assess, and make decisions according to LSS and parts of SoL.
- Follow up on approved interventions and ensure quality and goal achievement.
- Maintain close dialogue with the individual and their relatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues, service providers, and other internal and external partners.
- Contribute to the development of operations and a professional working method.

Qualifications
- University degree in Social Work (Social Work) or equivalent higher education assessed as equivalent by the employer.
- Category B driver's license.
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to the area.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
- Experience in authority exercises within SoL/LSS.
- Experience with IBIC (Individual Needs Assessment Tool).
