Adult education in Laholm is part of the Education Administration. We offer courses at the basic and upper secondary levels, within Komvux (adult education for people with incomplete upper secondary education) as adapted education and in Swedish for immigrants, as well as vocational training and apprenticeships at the upper secondary level. We work extensively with an entrepreneurial approach and ensure that employees are involved in driving the development and design of our vocational training programs forward.

We have close cooperation with the upper secondary school, study and career guidance counselors, and administration, where we assist each other in daily work.

We also offer various commissioned training courses in close cooperation with the municipality's various operations and Laholm's business community.

About the Position

We are looking for you who want to help train the cleaners of the future. As a vocational teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on current curricula and the industry's competence needs. You contribute to creating high-quality education and provide students with the knowledge and skills required to establish themselves in the profession.

Since a large part of the education is work-based learning (APL), collaboration with working life is a central part of the assignment. You are responsible for creating and developing contacts with workplaces, securing APL placements, and collaborating with supervisors and employers to ensure that the education's goals are met. The assignment also includes following up on students' development during APL periods and contributing to close cooperation between education and working life.

Are you the one we are looking for?

You have worked as a vocational teacher, preferably with a teaching certificate in a relevant vocational teacher education. Even if you lack formal teacher education, you are welcome to apply if you have documented and extensive experience from the cleaning industry.

It is meritorious if you have experience of teaching, supervision, or other educational efforts within adult education or working life.

You have good and current knowledge within the cleaning profession as well as understanding of the quality, hygiene, and occupational health and safety requirements placed within the industry. You work systematically, have good administrative skills, and are accustomed to using digital tools. The role also requires good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as well as understanding of economic responsibility and cost-effective resource utilization.

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on curricula and educational goals, as well as assess and document students' knowledge development. You adapt teaching to different individuals' prerequisites and needs and have a good ability to create trusting relationships with students, colleagues, supervisors, and employers.

About the Employment

Number of positions: 1

Start date as soon as possible according to agreement.

Salary range for the position salary setting 2026: Lowest 36,700 SEK/month, Average 42,800 SEK/month, Highest 46,000 SEK/month. Salary is influenced by experience and knowledge.
