About the job

Are you a nursing assistant ready for new challenges? Do you want to feel that the work you perform is meaningful and important? Then you are the one we are looking for at Galeasen Respite Care/Short-term Care.

Galeasen is located at Ågårdsskogen Care Centre. Here we support users who need short-term care/respite care and day activities. We are now looking for you who are positive and outgoing, have a strong sense of responsibility, and enjoy working in a team.

Job Responsibilities

The work consists of care work adapted to the individual. You help residents with hygiene, social interaction, stimulation, and activation, as well as providing support in medical and rehabilitative tasks. You work independently but have good collaboration skills and participate actively in teamwork.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who take responsibility for your tasks, have the ability to create security, and can meet and understand the user's needs. As a person, you have the ability to take initiative and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. It is natural for you to work independently but also to collaborate actively in a team. You need to have an orderly nature and stress tolerance, as there may be more to do during certain periods of the day, which requires flexibility in planning work with colleagues and taking responsibility for your tasks by, for example, completing a started task and following routines.

Jobs in care and nursing suit you if you can work irregular hours and want to perform work that is valuable to people who need support in their daily lives.

Requirements:

To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must be able to show the employer proof of the protected professional title for nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a certificate from a previous employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.

• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

Experience from care and nursing work is meritorious.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Care and nursing college diploma.
• Experience in similar work.

Conditions

We are looking for a nursing assistant for a permanent position at 100% with the possibility of desired employment level. Your employment will be within the Sector Social Welfare of Lidköping Municipality, with placement at Galeasen, which means that you may occasionally work in other units.

Start date by agreement.

Selection takes place continuously during the recruitment period.

Salary range: We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For the position, the monthly salary is between 26,500 – 35,000 SEK depending on experience, education, and competence.

Extract from the Criminal Record

Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to show an extract from the criminal record when working in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes (residential homes for youth), work with the elderly or people with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
