Essensa Foster Care is looking for a Foster Care Consultant with a requirement that you have supervision training focused on foster care.

About Us

Essensa Foster Care is a specialist operation that conducts consultant-supported foster care with a focus on children and young people with complex problems, often in combination with trauma, mental illness, and neuropsychiatric difficulties.

We work in a team-based manner and in the child's home environment/foster home environment, with clear structure, continuous follow-up, and high professionalism.

About the Role

As a Foster Care Consultant with us, you have a central role in the work regarding the child and the foster home. You are responsible for supervision, education, recruitment, and follow-up of the foster homes in their assignments, and you collaborate closely with social services and our internal team.

The work is independent but never solitary; you are part of a cross-professional team with a director, specialist social worker, placement advisor, family therapist, DBT therapist, special educator, and skills trainer.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of foster homes
  • Regular contact and collaboration with social services
  • Follow-up of care and implementation plans
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Participation in matching, follow-up meetings, and treatment conferences
  • Recruitment and assessment of foster homes
  • Contribute to the development of the operation's quality and working methods

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a social worker (socionom)
  • Has supervision training focused on foster care
  • Has experience from foster care
  • Is courageous, has self-leadership, and is relationship-building
  • Works independently, purposefully, and solution-focused
  • Has good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
  • Has a B-driver's license and access to a car

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Step 1 training in CBT, PDT, or family therapy
  • DBT training

About Essensa Foster Care

Essensa Foster Care conducts consultant-supported foster care with a treatment orientation. The operation is part of Essensa Treatment and works on behalf of social services with children and young people who need structured, secure, and individualized interventions. The interventions are coordinated based on the child's needs and can include special pedagogical support, treatment, skills training, as well as support and supervision for foster homes. Through close collaboration between different professions, cohesive and sustainable placements are created.

Essensa Foster Care works systematically with quality assurance and follow-up. The operation is characterized by clear structures, accountability, and regular self-control to ensure that interventions maintain high quality and are carried out in accordance with current legislation and assignments.

Workplace: Hybrid (from home and at foster homes)

Requirements:

  • You primarily work from home and plan your work independently.
  • You must be able to conduct home visits at your foster homes at least three out of five working days per week.
  • Travel is included in the service, and you must be able to conduct business trips with a one-way travel time of up to approximately two hours.
  • A B-driver's license and access to a personal car are required.
